False Absolution

The Abnormal Horror II

Twice the level of spookiness this time!

The Abnormal Horror: PART 2

In  2020, in a technologized town, happened an eerie incident.

Evilinn was a town in the corner of a galaxy called Vampalaxy. It was a strange incident that happened one day. King Euron was checking his “enemireader” to find if there were any enemies, but, as usual, the town was quiet. Yes, there was one strange sight that could be seen.

There was a black spot on the reader, which stood for ‘wild life danger’. And guess what! They were  … were … Wait a second! It looked like a pack of 10 wolves … no 20 … no 30… Oh dear! They were almost 1,000!

King Euron quickly set his army. He had a doubt. Why were the wolves attacking them?

He would surely find an answer to his question, but when? The king sent one of his messengers to see. And, guess what! They were WEREWOLVES!

However, the messenger did not return.

The king sent one more messenger and that messenger brought a half- chewed live body of the first messenger. Joseph II sent his vampire’s bat on the lookout.

The bat came with a scroll, which said:

Dear King, we have danger in our kingdom. We just wanted to warn you about those werewolves. They are causing chaos in the whole of Vampalaxy. And remember, whoever gets bitten by them turns into a werewolf.

PLEASE TAKE THIS MATTER SERIOUSLY, AS THE WOLVES ARE CAUSING SERIOUS HAVOK. STAY SAFE.

                                                                            - Joseph II

King Euron had an idea. He wanted to join King Joseph’s kingdom and drive away the werewolves. So, he went to Orcadux (The kingdom of King Joseph). The following night, the whole of Evilinn reached Orcadux. Then, the next day, both the armies reached the spot where the werewolves were killing time by leaping upon a wall and damaging it. But, as soon as a fly buzzed over, one of the soldiers, when he tried to shoo away the flies, the werewolves turned their attention towards the armies. King Euron threw his spear at a wolf and killed him. But, at the same time, the wolves leaped upon 2 soldiers and they turned into werewolves too! Then, suddenly a thought came into King Joseph’s mind.

He was going against his own people. He told Joseph to face the werewolves, as he knew how to trick the vampire family species. But, instead of getting tricked, the werewolves pounced upon Joseph. That meant that they were no ordinary wolves. Somebody was controlling them.  King Euron found a button on the neck of on wolf, which was on. King Joseph quickly switched it off. When he did this, all the werewolves turned into normal wolves. The wolves led the armies towards a dark gigantic hole. The armies crossed the hole, which was leading to the neighboring galaxy: Darkalaxy. Darkalaxy was full of domes and mountains. Then, the wolves went towards a rock, which hid a trapdoor in the ground. The wolves together, about a hundred of them, pushed the rock away themselves.

The 2 armies found it easy to get through the trapdoor. The trapdoor ended at a wall that blocked their view. But, the armies and wolves together broke the wall in seconds. Then, they saw one table in the center of the room on which a scientist was sitting.

The scientist was clapping his hands with a smirk on his face. He said “Well done, Kings! Well done! You found me at once, but I will not let you return alive! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!” For a moment, there was pin-drop silence. Then, suddenly, out of nowhere, 10 robots attacked both the armies. A war began.

One robot injured both the kings. After a few minutes, all the robots were dead. Then, one of the soldiers was about to cut the scientist’s head when King EURON stopped him. King John held the scientist by his collar and asked him his name.

His name was Horsodux IV. The scientist asked for mercy and promised not to do it again. This was one of the strangest incidents till today.

Today, in the year 20987, it is remembered as the Abnormal Horror II.

"A wounded animal will bite and claw." -Mimi Matthews I'm running as fast as I can. All I know about where I'm headed is that it's far from here; far away from that house. Far from those four walls of suffocating hell, far from those dreadful needles and the shimmering acids that followed... And certainly far from him. It's easy to lose track of time when you're kept in a square cell, far into the woods, cut off from the rest of the townsfolk and the diurnal village affairs. I wondered if my friend Polly was looking for me, determined to set me free. She probably was, given that I'd do the same for her. My freedom, or what minuscule tinge was left of it, never exceeded the dining hall of that house. He'd kept me locked in that room, with a bucket, a pale excuse of a mattress, a lantern and not a window in sight. It was easy to forget humans even existed, until he would occasionally break in with bland and tasteless meals. He spoke harshly and coldl...

Diadem of Dust (Poem-18)

"The greatest victory is that which requires no battle." - Sun Tzu This part of the forest is Much too quiet tonight To the majestic old noctuid, though, clinging on to life, It's no new sight. It rests near a pinecone, on a tall tree branch As usual, and waits for its Instincts to drive it to Claim morsels that may fit. Below its branch,  Moonlight glinting in its eyes, A young wild rat emerges from the bushes and Out of hunger, sighs. The pinecone quickly senses  Something off, however, And truly so, because it sees, staring back, A pair of red eyes quiver. The wild rat makes its way over A carelessly thrown matchbox  In dry litter, and slowly and steadily Up the tree, to the scared pinecone it walks. He triumphantly places his grown nails on The ill fated pinecone, but just over it He sees that, quite to his pleasure A little beyond him, an old moth patiently sits. Greed manifests  As he drools onto his paws, And he decides to spare the pinecone; He gently lets it...

Dead-ja Vu

"What are we, if not characters, from one story or another, playing our part, knowingly or unknowingly, willingly or unwillingly" - Sandip Khade You know how people get 'kicks' out of doing something daring, say, over-speeding on their bikes, or breaking dress codes, purposely attempting to get away with something illegal, etc.? Well, and I don't mean to sound like that guy , I've always gotten a kick out of giving to the needy; this could manifest in the form of giving money to the traffic signal dwellers, small community charity contributions, the monthly blood drive, or buying your practically broke friend his favorite energy drink when you sense a potential 'head-butt alert!' conversation vibe in the air. I groaned when I realized it's one of those days, and walked into our PG hostel's canteen area.  Most of our guy-classmates stay at this PG, since it's pretty close, and dirt cheap for its surprisingly un-pathetic living conditions. It...
